On Sunday night, March 16th 2025, due to high temperatures, quick melting, and rain, our shelter took on a substantial amount of water.
AND we learned that this weather event/ground water flooding is not covered by our insurance (we are also not covered for a tsunami…in case we were interested).
 
We are now in desperate need of fundraising to cover the remediation and restoration of the building and to attempt to fix the outside grading so this doesn’t reoccur in the future. 
 
If you are in a position to donate anything towards this massive financial undertaking, we would appreciate anything you can give.
If any businesses or individuals could help sponsor these repairs we would greatly appreciate the help!
 
A fundraising link has been created through CanadaHelps for Charities and tax receipts will automatically be sent for donations of $20 or more.

Bottle Drive

We started collecting of empty liquor, wine, and beer bottles and cans in September 2008 and have been doing so ever since. In less than 10 years, with your help and generosity, we have raised almost $59,000!!
