Adoption Fees
The shelter is often asked why we don’t give away our orphans for free. We agree that would be great as free pets mean more families would be able to afford a homeless animal. However, the reality is that being a responsible pet owner costs money. All new pets should be checked by a veterinarian, get de-wormed, receive vaccinations and be spayed or neutered.
Cat Adoption
Adult Cat over 1 year: $250.00

Kittens under 1 year of age: $300
Includes:
- Health check, value of $80
- First set of shots, value of $50
- De-worming, value of $35
- Flea treatment, value $25
- Spay or Neutering, value of $300
- Microchip, value of $70
- Our Health guarantee which ensures that you adopt a healthy pet. Any animal that is or becomes unhealthy within the first week of adoption can be returned and all adoption costs will be reimbursed.
Payment:
Adoption fees can be paid by cash or e-transfer. Unfortunately, the ADHS does not have the means to accept debit or credit cards at this time.
